Once the files have been checked in the background, they will be displayed in your home directory. You now have various options to check the files before you convert them into assets.
You can use the search function to filter the displayed images at any time. Depending on your permissions, you can also search across all home directories to get a global overview. To do this, you must click in the ‘search locally’ field in the search and then select ‘search globally’ in the dropdown.
By clicking on the ‘Detail’ function, you open another window in which further details about the image are displayed, including the name, path, hash or type of file.
The ‘Edit’ function allows you to change the name of the file afterwards.
You can use the ‘Move’ function to move files to the root or subdirectory of another user, provided you have the necessary rights.
To delete files again, you only need to call up the ‘Delete’ function in the context menu of a file.
By clicking on the file or using the ‘Preview’ function in the context menu of a file, you can, if possible, view a large preview or, in the case of a video, play it in the browser. In the image preview, you can also use the mouse pointer to move a screen magnifier so that you can view every part of the image down to the smallest detail.
The ‘Insert as asset’ function inserts the file as an asset in TESSA and allows you to enrich it with various other information such as keywords. We will go into this in more detail in the next section.
If you want to change a file again before uploading it as an asset in TESSA, you can use the ‘Download’ function to download it to your computer. This is particularly useful if, when checking files uploaded by other people, you notice that they still need to be reworked.
The context menu entries ‘Compare left’ and ‘Compare right’ offer you the option of comparing two images with each other, which are then opened together in a preview. This is particularly useful if you only want to create one of the images in the TESSA as an asset.
Note:
By clicking on the checkbox next to each file or using the ‘Select all visible’ entry, you can select them and then execute the ‘Paste as assets’, ‘Move files’ and ‘Delete’ functions on all selected files.
